Quick update - Thur 4/9/08.

Thur 4/9/08. Not a huge amount of progress since my previous post 6 days ago. It was nice to get a portico added and a start to the garage wall/s, but apart from that, each days progress this week has been only minimal. (I think my brickies tend to call it quits each day around lunchtime...!!).

Today the site was cleaned. Scrap building materials removed and broken bricks tidied.

SS has informed me perhaps scaffolding tomorrow for completion of bricking next week. Electricians, air con/heating and plaster the week after. (Would like a "Fast Forward" button)

Hey DG
Coming along nicely - despite the delays with the brickies. Apparently they are few and far between of late.
We are really enjoying your time line as it gives us something to base our build on. I think we are keeping to a similar schedule as yours, but of course we are only at roof tile stage.
Your house looks great but seriously what is to be done with that pole!!

Hi D&S, I can sympathise with you in wanting a FF button. It seems to be dragging on towards the end of the build for us too.
I like your colour combinations so far. Did PD ever get back to you re the double glazed windows for the north facing side?

Doesn't seem like it was that long ago that our house looked like that.....few weeks maybe?

Love the colour mix in your bricks. Nice to see so many Cremornes being built with so many different colour selections.

Someone is eager to get over the fence and in ;-)

Grr..don't you hate it when tradies leave early?! Our brickies weren't so bad, but everyone else seemed to leave before at the latest 3 ish (which at least meant that after school pick up I could alwys walk around the place at my leisure, taking photos, etc!)

Oh, if we all only had a FF button!!!!

Hi team. Love reading your comments. Something to look forward to when general construction stress kicks in...ha!!

The Gang. Glad you are getting some guidance from our time line. Mind you, with your pace of late, I may soon be looking upon yours for guidance..!! The pole? I am still awaiting a nasty letter from the estate heavies pointing the finger at me....at which I will explode.!

T&I. Never really followed up on the double glazing. Our Cremorne has 4 Nth facing windows, 2 of which are either small or glazed. In fact, the Cremorne in general doesn't really over-do-it on window footprint anyway.

H2B. We were close to your status a few weeks ago, but suddenly you have hit the turbo button. You bribing your SS...?
Yes, that's my little angel setting a good example on OH&S...!!

Petal. Nothing like visiting your site after hours, and avoiding those "looks" from the tradies. You know the ones "watch out boys.. the owners are snooping again...."

Good to see things moving along. As others have said, the colours are great. It's amazing how much waste there is in construction, and it lifts the place considerable once the site has been cleaned. Once the scaffolding goes up remember to do those other jobs on the roof (such as fit a TV antenna). Keep the updates coming!

No, no bribing needed ;-) He's just on the job and doing a great one at that.
